Cheapest Electricity Contract in Finland – Compare Prices
How do you find the cheapest electricity contract? Compare the total cost for your own consumption, including the energy rate, standing charge and any introductory discount. The lowest price per kWh does not always mean the lowest bill, and no single contract is cheapest for everyone.

Household electricity supply contracts. Enter your own annual consumption; no assumed usage is applied. Distribution is not included.
Product details come from open data published by the Finnish Energy Authority’s Sähkönhinta.fi service. Fiksusti syncs the catalogue and filters it by postcode and your choices. We rank results by estimated annual cost using your stated consumption and the product’s energy and monthly charges. Electricity retailers are responsible for product information.
Choosing an electricity contract for your home in Finland
What is the cheapest electricity contract?
Among comparable results, it is the contract with the lowest estimated annual cost for your consumption. Your postcode, consumption limits and eligibility affect the options. Estimates for spot and hybrid contracts are not price guarantees.
How do you compare the real cost?
For a fixed-rate, single-rate contract, start with annual kWh × cents per kWh / 100 + 12 × monthly standing charge. Also check introductory discounts and the price afterwards. The estimate covers electricity supply; distribution and charges billed by your network operator are separate.
How does consumption affect the cheapest option?
For a low-consumption home, the standing charge can be decisive. Energy rates matter more as consumption grows. Find your last 12 months of usage in kWh on your bills or your network operator’s service. Moving home or electric heating may change future usage.
Spot pricing or a fixed rate?
Spot contracts follow market prices, and when you use electricity affects your bill. A fixed-rate contract has an agreed unit price, but the total still depends on consumption. Spot electricity is not automatically cheapest. A hybrid contract can include a consumption-dependent adjustment.
How does the standing charge affect your bill?
A standing charge usually applies regardless of usage. For example, €5 per month is €60 per year before discounts. This is a calculation example, not a product offer. The comparison uses actual product charges and discounts supplied by the API.
Is a fixed-term contract worthwhile?
Fixed term describes duration; fixed rate describes pricing. They are different. A fixed-term contract may offer predictability but commits you for the agreed period. Check the end date and switching conditions before signing a new contract.
How do you switch electricity supplier?
Check your current contract’s duration and termination conditions. Compare using your postcode and consumption, open the supplier’s page, and confirm the final price, later price and start date. Your local distribution company and network charges remain separate.
How does Fiksusti compare electricity contracts?
Product details come from open data published by the Finnish Energy Authority’s Sähkönhinta.fi service and synced to Fiksusti’s own catalogue. The existing electricity comparison engine calculates costs from tariff components, standing charges and supported discounts. Day, night and seasonal usage use the existing consumption model. Spot estimates use the data’s SpotFutures value plus the margin, not a guaranteed future bill. Hybrid estimates include numerical tariff components without inventing a separate usage adjustment. Products with incomplete or custom pricing do not receive an exact estimate.
